ADULT CLASSES

Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals

This course focuses on the exploration of fundamental positions of jiu jitsu, equipping students with a thorough understanding of the foundational positions of the martial art, and their nuances. We strongly recommend this course for beginners, especially if it is your first class! This class is also a great option for more advanced practitioners who want to work on specific details from these positions, such as positional retention and transitions to submissions.

Advanced Jiu Jitsu

This course focuses on the more advanced positions of jiu jitsu, and offers practical education of more complex jiu jitsu techniques, and the exploration of advanced concepts. This class is primarily recommended for our more advanced students, such as 3-stripe white belts and up.

Joint Advanced/Fundamentals Jiu Jitsu

This course combines the two jiu jitsu classes, offering teaching of core concepts and more complex concepts in a way that allows all students to take something away from class. We want all of our students to interact, roll, and learn from one another, and this is the perfect class to achieve this. We recommend this class for all students, both beginner and advanced!

Wrestling for Jiu Jitsu

This course offers a thorough exploration of wrestling and judo techniques (and combining the two) to supplement our jiu jitsu and MMA programs. Students will learn to take down a standing opponent in this class using throws or wrestling moves. You don’t have to start a jiu jitsu match from standing, but you should be able to! This class is intended for everyone — learning to take down a standing opponent is very important for anyone interested in improving their jiu jitsu or MMA knowledge.

We recommend anyone interested in Muay Thai attend these classes.

Advanced Muay Thai

This course focuses on giving more advanced students an enhanced understanding of Muay Thai technique, and how to apply this in a combat situation. Students will gain a rigorous understanding of striking and its applications in fighting scenarios. This class is targeted primarily to those with an interest in participating in amateur striking fights, or those who have significant striking experience. As such, we ask that students who participate in this class have at least 2 months of experience in our Muay Thai Fundamentals class.
